Can you go ahead and start so that I can meet you all there? I'm also terrible at starting anything.

(OOC; I just posted and didn't really read through your post DX. Maybe, uh. You can already be there? If not I'll repost. Haha, sorry.) Charlotte dusted any shavings off her magnificently clean beige breeches. The BMW was just pulling into Camelot, and Charlotte had to be perfect for Ms. Marsh. If she wasn't, why would the woman even sell her the pony? Mr. Evans unbuttoned his shirt collar and put the car in park. His khakis were obviously out of place here. Whatever. He was here to buy his little Charlie a nice new pony. The owner was willing to reduce the price, and that was what he was after. The lawyer unbuckled his seat belt, grabbed his Blackberry and opened the car door. He walked back to the trunk and pulled out a saddle. It had cost him a little over 4k. He knew that. The size and brand? No idea.Charlotte grabbed her Charles Owen off the seat next to her and exited after her dad. She had gone through this process many times before, but this one just made her bubbly. Was that bad? The blond hoped no one else would be here or she might have to pull out the tears. They were highly effective. The eleven year old held her chin high as she walked beside the older man toward the ring. Was that her the pony? It must be. The little Grullo mare was standing next to an older girl. Charlie felt the urge to just run down there and hop on her back, but no. She must look professional. With her dad carrying her 15" Hermes jumping saddle, she should look the part. Right? "Hello, Ms. Marsh is it?" Mr. Evans took one hand out from under the saddle and went to shake her hand. "My little Charlie is interested in this fine pony you have for sale."I'm Stupid I Swear. THIS IS CHARLOTTE.

"Hi!" Kaliegher shook the man's hand firmly, "Yes, and this is Talia. So let's get to it! Anything you all want to see? Do you want to ride her first or me? She's super sweet, but she takes some getting used to. She can be a tad frisky, but she's a winning pony jumper and if you really connect with her, she's perfect for you."

Mr. Evans attention really only picked up the word 'winning'. He looked at Charlotte with his characteristic 'I dunno' face.Charlie rolled her eyes away from her father and looked ad at Ms. Marsh. "I think I can do it." Charlotte was used to catch riding for the younger kids who dropped out when they saw the fences at London International. This pony was no different than one of those, right? Maybe a little more skittish. Charlie offered her saddle to Ms. Marsh, preferring she did it. Charlotte was walking around Talia and wanted to watch for any aggressive behavior during girth tightening. The pony's confirmation looked alright, and she was very sure-footed. Could probably even keep her barefoot. Charlie grabbed the reins and stroked her narrow blaze, talking to the pony to keep her from getting too antsy. THIS IS CHARLOTTE

"Okay." Kaliegher went around to tighten the girth and as per usual the mare stamped the ground, but didn't move. She gave Talia a pat on the neck and stood to the side. "Do you want a leg up, or no? Just a tip, on her you need to keep you reins pretty short or with constant pressure, she likes to be supported completely to the jump. Talia's not usually a stopper, but she'll be uncertain of herself if you're uncertain of her. She rides like a pony, but she's not a kick to go pony but she's needs a strong and assertive rider if you want her to be at her top potential. She's up and ready."

"Leg up please." She'd heard ground mounting over a long period of time injured a horse's back. She wasn't going to risk it. Charlie went up on three and sat carefully in her Hermes, almost eye level with Kaliegher. The girl listened carefully to the older girl's instructions and nodded her head after every direction. Reins short, pressure, strong and assertive. She could do that. And she really wanted this pony. Even more of a motivation.
Charlie nudged the pony forward with her heels a bit and patted her neck. The blond collected the reins so that there was a straight line from her hand to the bit, but not necessarily pulling. She let the pony wander a bit, and acted more as a passenger to get used to her unique stride. It was bigger than London's but seemed shorter than Tokyo's. "I'm open to pointers." She flashed a smile at the older girl. Daddy had still failed to find a coach, and Charlie was taking any advice she got.
Once comfortable with Talia, Charlie put her hands forward a little and asked for a trot. She sat two strides and then started posting. It was a nice smooth trot, probably easy to sit too.
(OOC: And that's all I feel like posting right now. Sorry. D:)

"Well you're doing good. If you put a bit more leg on her, she'll lengthen a bit. She'd actually make a wonderful hunter if you want to spend the time on prepping her. I'll set up a course while you pick up a canter!" Kaliegher set all the jumps up, "Your course will be the hedge, to that brick oxer, bending line. Then to the two chess piece jumps on the diagonal, that'll be 8 strides. Don't worry if you make it in seven though. Come around and then the outside line, birch jump first then 6 strides to the hedge. That's exactly 78 feet and 6 and a half strides, so either push and lengthen for that 6, or collect for a 7. Then wrap around and the other diagonal, it's 8 strides after the blue brush to a two stride at those stone castle jumps. She went over and set the course to 2'6" except for 2'9" for the two stride going out." ooc: coursehedge
