WARNING: LONG.
Mkay so, I'm Winter, and I'm not going to reveal my real name, but I will tell you a little about me. I'm 15, 16 in November, and I'm all out Irish, you know, red hair, green eyes, the get up. But I'm also all out Texan. Accent and all!
Me (note: the ring is a promise ring. a promise to engaged. my love has one as well)
I've been with my wonderful boyfriend since February 7th, 2009. Yes, thats two years(and then some). He's the light of my life, and absolutely everything to me. Best of all, he supports my horse habit, and supports my goal of the olympic. I'm actually on the phone with him as I type this. (:
My love (:
Anyways. I have an insane life. My parents and I actually run a business. And although I don't own it yet(under age), I still run it. I do the calling, the buying, the financing, the ridng, the training, the breaking, yeah. We breed, raise, show, import, and BREATHE Irish Draught's. I'm an eventer, and I have been for 9 years. I'm competing at the Novice level, moving up to Training after the American Eventing Championships in september. Currently, as we speak, I'm 3rd for my level in the country. (:
I have.. one, two, three.... seven horses as of right this moment. July 26th through August 9th I will be in Ireland buying two more horses, my 'step-up' horse, and a pregnant RID mare.
First off I have Corey. He's a seven year old Irish Sport Horse gelding. He was born black, but is now gray, yet has somehow retained four black stockings, a black mane, and a semi-black tail. He's my show horse. In his last four shows we've placed first, second, fourth, and second, all with over twenty five competitors per class. He stands roughly 16.2hh. I've jumped 4'6 on him, but we regularly take lessons at around 3'3 and 3'6. My baby <3 3'6 Skinny House to Water Bank Down Bench Corner Log
Next isssss. Drumrolllllll. Crystal Crest. He is our new Irish Draught stallion just purchased roughly two weeks ago. He's 6 years old, 16.3hh, and a jumping machine. We have Grand Prix expectations for him. I only have one photo of him because he's still in Ireland. He'll be shipped here later this year. (: I'll have more pictures sent soon, and I'll post them for y'all (: Christie
Next up to bat we have my baby boy who will begin showing next year. Meet Slew O' Diamonds, aka Donnelly. I just call him big guy (: Donnelly has not been broken yet. He's a four year full 50/50 Irish Thoroughbred. His dad, Prescott's Diamond was a grand prix jumper here in the states, and is now back in Ireland at stud. His mother is a Seattle Slew baby, Slew's Penant. Donnelly stands right at 17.2hh right now, but is pushing 17.3 as he fills out more. First Show with Mom(4) (: As a Two Year Old Free Jumping Fun(4)! Three Year Old
Next we have Hijinx, aka Lacey. Lacey is five now, and was abused for two years before we got her. Abused enough that we were told by the vet that she would never walk again! Despite the scary foretellings, Lacey proved them all wrong and, despite a lengthy, ugly scar on her hind leg, she hasn't been lame a day in her life, and is jumping happily. She's still a baby, and came to us only halter broken. So as you'll see in the pictures, she's come leaps and bounds. We believe she's a Belgian x Quarter Horse, although she could be registered an American Warmblood. She's just at 15.2hh. First Time in Water Jumping for Fun Posing Relaxed at her First Show Cordwood
And now we have my first pony, Razzmatazz, aka Razz. He's 19 years old now and happily training my friend. He's not your average pony. At 14.1 1/2 hands, this Welsh Cob x Arab is a spitfire. He very much likes to go and will jump ANYTHING in his way. I've jumped him up to 4ft, in his younger days. This pony has molded me into the rider I am today. Though a gelding, Razz totally thinks he's a stud, as he was gelded at the age of seven. Though he never bred, he thinks he should still be allowed to. :b Also, last year, Razz was ranked 1th for three different in the America, holding seventeen first place's, and a showing which put him in 13th at the American Eventing Championships(at age seventeen) out of seventy four competitors! Dressage poneh Cross country Holding Him Back Evil, dead snake. Into Water
And now there are two. Next to last is Savoire-Faire. She's a registered Oldenburg, who although she likes to jump, her true calling is dressage. She's black and about 16.1 hands. She's only about nine years old now. Savvy was approved by the ISR Oldenburg association in 2007. Showing off that sun bleached body.. Ready for her Inspections! Newly approved Oldenburg! Savoire-Faire's spotlight. Lovely girl Happy Savvy!
So to expand further, Savvy is a new mommy! She has a purebred Oldenburg stud prospect at her heels now. Rubenesque, aka Gunnar is a big boy, sure to mature at about 17.1 and up. He's black, like his mommy and daddy, and absolutely adorable. He's a top FEI dressage prospect. (: Pregger's Savvy First Breath Three hours old Getting his fanny scratched by a family friend I'm ready for my close up! One week.(big boy!) Coming to be caught at two months old Practicing for his future inspections with Kentucky friend, and international show jumper, Fleur Bryan.
I think that finishes off the horsey crew. On top, I have three cats, and five dogs xD But those pictures can wait. Happy reading!
